Ryobi electric mower

At the beginning of the first season with this mower (last year) I loved it. My wife loved it. Everything was happy and awesome.

Then, after a few months it started shutting off a lot. I got through it with some patience. It is, after all, easy to restart.

This spring the shutoffs became more frequent. So frequent, in fact, that anytime I turned the mower around, it shut off. I couldn’t take it anymore.

Thankfully some folks online shared a little info about this issue. There is an extra cutoff switch, and it is super annoying. To me, holding the main cutoff switch in the handle is enough safety. This extra cutoff switch is faulty and apparently everyone else goes through the same problem.

Tightening the frame was not enough… I actually needed to disassemble the mower and splice the wires from the cutoff switch. Viola! It works great again.
